CORONAVIRUS

Government guidelines will allow organised outdoor sport for groups of up to 30 from 29 March. This must be carried out following the protocols issued by the BMC. These require a risk assessment and safety briefing before the activity. The BMC has agreed that a written briefing is acceptable.

Personal climbing (ie not arranged by the club) is subject to the Rule of 6.

Anyone wishing to attend a climbing meet organised by the club must download a copy of the club's climbing guidelines (below) and send an email to Andy Crawley cc Howard Jones saying that you have read and understood it and agree to follow the guidelines.  Please attach a copy of the document to your email.  You need do this only once, and your agreement will be recorded.

Please also observe any official guidance applicable at the time of the meet. In particular, please note that car-sharing with people outside your household or bubble is currently not allowed. Please bear in mind that parking places may be busier than usual, and please park responsibly.

To avoid burdening the emergency and NHS please stay within your competency levels, and be aware of skill fade.  Take it carefully and "look well to each step".

The list below is dependent on official guidance and may be changed at short notice.

The BMC recommmends quarantining gear for 72 hours after use. If you want to go further, there is advice here from Petzl on sanitising gear:
